Chairman, President, Chief Executive Officer
Tony Mingo founded vWise, Inc. in 2006 with a vision of creating interactive solutions that engage employees with their benefits. His experience as a leader in the financial services industry spans over 20 years, with additional experience in executive management leadership within the technology industry in Silicon Valley.
Chief Financial Officer
David has more than 20 years of experience as a driving force in scaling many fast-growing companies, including hands-on experience with enterprise software solutions and the benefits industry. In his role as Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for all financial aspects of the business, including corporate strategy and business development, investor relations, and financial operations. Prior to vWise, David led SaverNation, an innovative employee benefits program, from “back-of-the-napkin” to its growth phase. At Digital Interactive, an integrated software solutions provider for HP, Sony and Dell, he orchestrated a successful turn-around resulting in the shipment of over two million units of new software. David’s experience also includes leading companies through Big Four audits and raising millions of dollars in financing. He is a graduate of Harvard University.
Senior VP of Sales
James brings demonstrated success and a fine-tuned expertise of the retirement industry to vWise. In his role as Senior Vice President of Sales and Strategy, he is focused on providing sales leadership, competitively positioning the company in the marketplace, and developing strategies to optimize growth. Prior to joining vWise, James served as the First Vice President and Director of National Sales and Distribution for The Bancorp Bank’s Institutional Banking Group, managing the sales and distribution to 15 affinity groups, and managing and administrating $2.7 trillion in assets. Before joining Bancorp, James served as a financial advisor for First Financial Group, working with high net worth individuals and institutions. His experience also includes developing and managing several business lines, including the first NSCC traded, FDIC-insured capital preservation products for the retirement industry; enterprise private label banking platforms for non-bank broker dealers and TAMPs; securities-backed lines of credit; nonqualified deferred compensation tax liability financing programs; advisor acquisition programs; and a robust Safe Harbor IRA business. James earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Administration from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves as a SPARK Board Member and is a member of his local and national ASPA.
VP Client Services
Shannan joined vWise as Vice President of Client Services in 2009. Responsible for the growth and retention of the vWise client base, Shannan provides leadership to a team of account managers and communications staff who are passionate about building and maintaining strong client relationships. Prior to joining vWise, Shannan worked as a National Account Executive at Cigna HealthCare for over 15 years. Her experience includes managing accounts for employee benefits firms, where she led a team of more than two dozen account managers and supervised relationships with large corporate clients, such as Chevron, Intel, Caesars Entertainment (formerly Harrah’s) and Fluor Daniel.
VP Technology, Technical Product Management
Over the last 10 years, David has led integration projects with nearly a dozen recordkeeping platforms and has guided numerous vWise product enhancements from conception to production. In his role as Vice President of Technology and Technical Product Management, David is responsible for the successful delivery of all vWise solutions, and he provides leadership for development operations, quality assurance, and product management. Prior to vWise, David Gorsline served as a manager for the City of Carlsbad, California, where he was responsible for managing relationships with service partners and maximizing the value of technology platforms.
VP Project Management
In addition to developing new products and defining client and user experiences, Brandi has spent much of her career building and leading marketing, communications, and sales support teams. In her role as Vice President of Project Management, Brandi is responsible for oversight, organization and the overall management of projects. She ensures that vWise is able to deliver quality solutions and services both on time and within budget through effective and efficient use of resources. Prior to joining vWise, Brandi was employed by companies such as Vertical Management Systems, Inc., CNA Trust, and Union Bank, N.A., where she successfully created and implemented numerous projects with a diverse focus. Brandi is a graduate of Arizona State University.
VP Production, Creative Director
An award-winning filmmaker and 20-year veteran of the film industry, P.J. Palmer has been with vWise since its inception in 2006. His guiding belief is that truly successful and engaging content clearly cuts through the noise, effectively capturing the viewer’s attention and telling a relevant story that creates a lasting connection. As vWise’s in-house creative director and producer, P.J. is responsible for driving UX/UI excellence and performance while maintaining the integrity of the brand. He oversees all aspects of design and leads the creative teams that develop and produce vWise content, including video, VFX, and digital and print assets.
